Description Taste and tradition: a winning combination on this excursion that will take us to a typical wine estate in Casablanca Valley, where we will watch a thrilling rodeo complete with gauchos, horses and calves, and finish the evening with a delicious dinner.

What we will see
  • Casablanca Valley
  • Estancia El Cuadro winery
  • Chilean rodeo show with gauchos, horses and calves
  • Wine museum tour
  • Elegant dinner

What we will do
  • We will leave the port and pass through the beautiful Chilean countryside and the vineyards of the vast Casablanca Valley, renowned across the world for producing fine wines.
  • We will stop at Estancia El Cuadro, a state-of-the-art winery where a special evening awaits us, full of excitement.
  • We will watch a show of great pathos: the famous Chilean rodeo, which is held here in keeping with the most ancient and still relevant Chilean tradition: the dressing of the gaucho (a sort of cowboy in this region), horse preparation, traditional dances and all the procedures that announce the arrival of the calf in the arena and the start of the rodeo, practically a national sport in Chile.
  • During the show, gauchos need to demonstrate their skills in a series of exciting tests, linked to rearing cattle. The tasks include lasso throwing and the bareback riding of wild horses or calves, where the goal is to resist as long as possible while the animal thrashes about. A real adrenaline rush!
  • After the show, we will visit the wine museum where we will cover the stages of the wine production process in Chile in 1900, and then we will be ready for the second surprise of the evening: a delicious elegant dinner on the estate.
  • After dinner, we will return to the port.

What you need to know
  • The rodeo involves calves, not bulls.
