Description A treat for lovers of the sea, exploring the Moorea Lagoon in all its splendour: crystal-clear water, spectacular bays and mountains draped in emerald greenery. But that’s not all! There is also a delicious barbecue lunch, where we will learn a few of the island’s culinary secrets, and – to finish – a relaxing afternoon on the beach.

What we will see
  • Ferry ride to the Island of Moorea
  • Breathtaking views of the lagoon
  • Opunohu Bay and Cook’s Bay
  • Cookery demonstration with local specialities
  • Barbecue lunch
  • Relaxing on the beach

What we will do
  • We leave the ship and board a ferry that will take us from Tahiti to the beautiful Island of Moorea. As we glide through the water, we can enjoy breathtaking views of the picture-postcard scenery, with charming bays alternating with long stretches of beach, all lapped by the crystal-clear waters of the lagoon.
  • Our route takes us past the island’s widest lagoon, the famous Opunohu Bay, which is dominated by the verdant Mount Tohivea, and the spectacular Cook’s Bay, the island’s most famous inlet, which is also framed by hills and pinnacles draped in a mantle of brilliant, emerald green.
  • Awaiting us on a motu (a small island) is a delicious barbecue lunch where, thanks to a cookery demonstration, we can learn a few of the island’s culinary secrets.
  • After lunch, we are free to spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach, before taking our leave of the scenic wonders of Moorea as we board the ferry for the return.

What you need to know
  • The ferry transfer takes approximately 40 minutes each way.
  • This excursion will be guided in French or English, subject to availability.
