Description With its evocative corners, narrow alleyways and breathtaking scenery, the lovely town of Ostuni is reminiscent of a Greek village. The town, which is also known as the “white city” due to the characteristic colour of the whitewashed houses in the town centre, was built on three hills and boasts great examples of Mediterranean architecture.

What we will see - Ostuni cathedral - Ostuni town centre - Concattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta in Cielo

What we will do - A one-hour coach transfer takes us to Ostuni where we visit the imposing Cathedral, a magnificent example of Apulian Romanesque architecture. - Along the narrow alleyways, we can admire the amazing view of the Adriatic coast and of the centuries-old olive groves separating the town from the sea. - The walking tour of the town centre begins at the ancient walls: a fantastic opportunity to take lovely panoramic pictures. - We follow the walls as far as Piazza della Libertà with the town hall and column dedicated to Saint Orontius. - Finally, we explore the Medieval part of the city with its side streets and whitewashed buildings until we reach the Concattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta, a wonderful example of Romanesque-Gothic style dating back to 1495.
