Sightseen, Designed for families, Culture & local gems , From 1 to 3 hours walking, Family friendly, 52
Discover Bremen's historic past and enjoy a taste of traditional beer. During a 2 hour walking tour you'll discover numerous historic buildings, streets and squares, all of which echo Bremen's Hanseatic past. Highlights of your walk include one of the city's landmarks, the Roland Statue, located in front of the impressive Town Hall. Statues abound in Bremen and you'll also see the one of the Bremen City Musicians a donkey, dog, cat and cockerel, who according to the Grimm fairytale, trekked to Bremen. The magnificent Cathedral has a vast twin-towered façade dating from the 11th century (exterior view). The main attraction of the old town is, however, the impressive Town Hall (exterior view), with its Renaissance façade. There will be some free time in the city centre for you to explore alone or visit the shopping arcade. No visit to Germany is complete without a taste of traditional north German beer. Visit one of the most popular microbreweries for a taste of this traditional brew accompanied by a pretzel.
