In a nutshell

Sailing along the Capibaribe river is an unmissable experience to admire the beauty of Recife from an unusual point of view and understand why the Pernabucan capital is known as the Brazilian Venice.

Main stops
  • Capibaribe
  • Boat ride
  • Main sights of the city
  • Casa da Cultura

The programme
  • We leave the Cinco Pontas dock behind us for a tour of the city by boat along river Capibaribe, one of the most famous in the country. We can admire the main sights as well as the many bridges connecting the various city centre neighbourhoods.
  • Once the boat ride is over, a coach takes us to Casa da Cultura. What used to be a prison is now a crafts market where we can browse among lovely local handicrafts before going back to the ship.

Good to know
  • The boat has no cover.
  • Do not forget to bring a hat and sun cream. * There is limited availability of English-language guides; if these are not available the local guide's commentary will be translated by a local interpreter.
  • We recommend that you book early because only a limited number of places are available.
